Onyekachi is a former Special Adviser to ex-Abia State Governor on Social Media. Media learnt that Onyekachi was ‘abducted’ from his office in Umuahia by yet-to-be identified persons. It was gathered that one of those who took Onyekachi away claimed to be an official of the Department of State Services (DSS), although the security agency has yet to react to the development. EFCC Arrests Atlantic Refinery MD Akintoye Akindele Over Alleged Misappropriation and Money Laundering.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested and detained the Managing Director of Atlantic International Refinery and Petrochemical Limited, Akintoye Akindele over alleged misappropriation and money laundering.    Media  gathered that Akintoye who was arrested on Tuesday in Abuja was accused of diverting public funds to the tune of $35 million (about N60bn). Nigerians have condemned a member of the House of Representatives, Alex Ikwechegh, for assaulting an e-hailing (Bolt) driver who went to deliver a package to him at his Maitama residence in Abuja. Media Online reports a viral video which emerged on social media showing the lawmaker verbally and physically assaulting the driver, whose name is yet unknown, for telling him to come out and get the snail the driver was meant to deliver to him.
