IGP States why the Nigerian police Force did not support #Ensbadgovernment protest by Nigerian youths

 




The Nigerian police Force Youth summit held at Nigeria Police Resource Centre, Jabi - Abuja, during the Maiden Edition of the Nigerian Police Force Youth Summit - Celebrating the International Youth Day 2024. 

The event which was graced with the presence of important members of the Nigerian police Force such as the inspector general of police.IG koyode Igbetokun  , Hon. Minister of Youth Development, Rep. Of Chief of Defence Staff, Rep. Of NSA, other dignitaries and notable National Youth Leaders.

The National youth leaders present where given opportunity to ask questions that possess concerns to them as Nigeria youths and how they can work in collaboration with the Nigerian police Force in terms of tackling insecurity bedeviling the country 





In response to the questions raised the Inspector General of police Dr. Koyode Igbetokun and other panelists present took Time to address some of the concerns raised and inform how willing they are to work with the Nigerian youths in terms of ensuring the safety of every citizen

"  I assure you that it is every security personnel sworn duty to ensure the safety of citizens of its country, that is why we are working towards ensuring that summits like this be continuesly organized in other for the security agency to maintain a good and clear relationship with the Nigerian youths and continue to work towards el ensuring  the safety of every citizen.



When ask why the Nigerian police did not support the youth in the organized #Endbadgovernment protest He responded by saying  "if we allow ourselves to be used as tools by some opposing personaly who are looking for opportunity to create havoc in the country , the aftermath may not be pleasing even to the perpetrators of those crimes so the police is only concerned about the safety of its citizens 

He further revealed that the investigation carried out has made some of the mastermind  behind plot to create havoc in the country masking as protest flee out of the country.


He further adviced that if a country is going through difficult times the solution is not to create havoc but rather to profer solution via dialogue.

The speaker representing the President of the federal Republic of Nigeria, during her speech stated that the the federal government has Heard the Demands of the Nigerian youths Loud and clear , they are assuring Nigerians that the days may seem dark but they are working towards meeting the demands of Nigerians ,
