CRIME: couple kill each other over allegations of Infidelity in Ekiti
A couple have reportedly killed themselves over allegations of infidelity in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.
The incident happened on Tuesday morning around Igirigiri road , Odo Ado area of the state capital.
Media learnt that the deceased husband, identified as Caleb who is said to be a police officer in the state was accused by his wife of infidelity.
A source in the area told our correspondent that the couple with four children was said to be having constant misunderstanding before Tuesday’s incident.
The source said, ” the man who is an Assistant Superintendent of Police, and his wife has been battling with marital misunderstanding over allegations of infidelity.
” So, it was one of such misunderstandings that led to the fight between them on Tuesday morning.
It. Was gathered that the wife attacked the man first by using a knife to cut husband’s manhood and the man in his pool of blood and being a police officer, struggled to machete the wife to death.
” Both of them died on the spot and there were nothing neighbors and passers-by could do at that stage.
”When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Abutu Sunday confirmed the incident, adding that, ” investigation has commenced to know the actual cause of their death.”
